How the village is different |
1 |
The village is torn between two
branches of the same faith. The exact details are so obtuse and
arcane (or insignificant) that it will confuse the characters. For
maximum effect, invent something which force the party to split
who sleep in what inn or something to that effect.
2 |
Most of the inhabitants are blind/deaf. Their best warriors have super senses to compensate this.
| 3 | They really like outsiders. They like outsiders too much and will never stop pestering them endlessly to learn news from distant lands or asking a billion questions about their culture non stop. Eventually it just get annoying. |
4 |
Color-coded-wearing caste system. Bonus Point: the colors are all garish and ugly due to only having cheap/odd dyes in the region.
5 |
They only trade in silver or copper. Gold is worthless.
6 |
A giant lives in the town. He's helpful and loved by the community, if a bit dumb. Unfortunately he consume as much food as twenty men and their food supply is running low.
7 |
Everyone is vegetarian. In truth, there is a curse which affect the village where eating any meat make you go temporarily berserk. They take it for granted and don't tell outsiders unless they ask why there is no meat in the market.
8 |
It is illegal to tell jokes or use sarcasm.
9 |
What? This is perfectly normal village. Don't mind the tentacles.
10 |
A day before the PC arrive, another group of adventurers spent all their money on booze, women and food. The village is out of food and drinks and has several 'shotgun weddings' planned this week.
11 |
A powerful wizard lives in town. The biggest side effect of this is that everyone mimic his fashion sense. It is an awful fashion sense.
12 |
Everyone is a ghoul but doesn't realize it.
