Continuing off last time with the two remaining clans...and more!
Blood Axes: Sneaky Kommandos
![]() |
| What happen when Orks play Metal Gear Solid rather than Borderland. |
Most orks are held to be nothing but dumb brutes who hold Leeroy Jenkins to be the pinnacle of tactics. While this is true for most Orks, there is a clan with an higher than average amount of more intelligent and sneaky Orks: the Blood Axes. The first Ork clan to encounter the Imperium as well as a clan with an higher than average amount of Commandos (sneaky gitz!) they are capable of more complex military maneuvers which will baffle anyone expect Orks to always come in large, unthinking mobs.

1x Shred Pistol
Goblin Herder
Orc Mob [10] x3 (480pts)
1x Shred Rifle
Orc Commandos A [5] x3 (480pts)

Orc Commandos B [5] x3 (495pts)
1x Carbine with Attachment: Rocket Launcher
1x Ultra Sawblade
1x Rocket Launcher
Truck [1] x3 (645pts)
Battle Ram
Boarding Plank
Tactics: Your basic Orcs and the Goblin (Gretchin) Herd are the decoys. They will swarm the enemy head on while the Commandoes have scouted ahead and prepared to move in for the kill. Commando A are good against numerous and weak infantry while Commandos B will pick off the harder targets. Assign the three Warlords Kommando Bosses to whichever squad will benefit the most and make use of their War! ability when sneaking stop being an option. The trucks will get the goblins or basic mobs into position and make use of the boarding planks to score some extra auto-hits.
Snakebites: Born To Be WAAAAGH!!!
![]() |
| "Back in me dayz..." |
Within 40k lore there exist something called 'Feral Orks', which are primitive and isolated Ork populations born in the aftermath of an ork invasion. Most ork populations will eventually evolve out of this state. The Snakebite clan shun this change, however and retain a wild side. This list thus has quite a bit of refluffing going on.
Warlord On Bike Cyber Boar [1] (165pts)
War!
Shaman [1] (80pts)
2x Ultra Drill Giant Lances
Orc Mob [20] x2 (820pts)
2x Ultra Drill Giant Cleavers
1x Mad Doctor
Twin Rocket Launcher
Tactics: Charge into enemies like an idiot, letting Impact do the job as the Boss Bikers Cyborg Boar Riders tear into enemies. Even the Shaman rides around on those iconic Feral Orks Cyboars. This list isn't particularly strong against heavily armored lists, however. The Attack Buggy Small Squiggoth mount rocket launchers with Deadly but that's about it.
Speed Freaks: Kult of Speed
![]() |
| Nothing is ever 'fast enuff' for these speed addicts. |
Orks are quite famous for their massive amount of infantry they can bring. The Speed Freaks list completely break this trend by not having a single basic, foot-slogging infantry around! These Orks are obsessed with going as fast as possible and thus their list is nothing but vehicles!
Warlord On Bike [1] (165pts)
Combat Bike
War!
Boss Biker [6] x2 (840pts)
Twin Mini-MGs
Boss Trike [1] x3 (405pts)
Twin Mini-MG
Blaster Buggy [1] x3 (555pts)
Snazz Buggy [1] x3 (570pts)
Orc Helicopter [1] x5 (440pts)
Twin Plasma Rifle
Ultra Sawblade
Assault Bomb
Tactics: This list is basically the above one but on steroids, packing nothing but vehicles with Impact and Tough. Most lists expect at the very least some infantry but this isn't the case here. As with all the previous lists, different buggy types should prioritize different targets. The goal is to out speed and out damage the enemy in every way.
Mekanized Waaaaaagh!!!
![]() |
| Stomp! Stomp! STOMP! STOMP! |
Some rare Big Meks have enough charisma, skill and raw size and power to lead their own Waaaaaagh!!! alongside a crew of fellow mek, looters and general orkish rabble interested in the spoils and the shiny toys the Mek can provide them. However, more often than not such armies are heavily equipped with mechs, who individually are already quite powerful but become a terror when fielded in mass.
Ultra Claw
Cyborg Body
Ultra Armor
Energy Field
Mechanic [1] x2 (180pts)
Ultra Claw
Energy Field
Specialists Orcs [5] x3 (435pts)
2x Rocket Launchers
2x Shred Rifles
1x Flamethrower
Orc Walker [1] x6 (2130pts)
1x Heavy Flamethrower
Tactics: Use Walkers to flatten the enemy and use the Mechanics to keep them alive. In turn, each mechanic is assigned to a five-man squad of Specialists with a flexible setup of weapons. The relationship is mutually beneficial: the basic orcs are meat shield for their boss but, in turn, the boss protect them with the Energy Field.
